Biography

Jerome Geils and vocalist Peter Wolf (the latter ex-The Hallucinations) formed the J Geils Band in the late 60s and first hit in the US in 1971 with a cover of the Valentinos' "Lookin' For A Love". Wolf went solo in 83 and had a US top 20 the following year with Lights Out, reaching no12. Centrefold, which in its original spelling was a no1 in the USA, was followed by the US no4/UK no27 Freeze-Frame.
