Biography

From Washington, USA, Lattisaw recorded her first album aged just 12 and sang at the White House aged 13. Her big disco hit came from her Narada Michael Walden-produced second LP "Let Me Be Your Angel" and she remained a leading light in the US black music charts throughout the 80s, though UK audiences tired of her after the self-explanatorially titled "Jump To The Beat" and allowed her follow-up "Dynamite" to peter out at no.58.

By a strange co-incidence, at the same time as "Dynamite" (b/w "Dreaming") was hanging about the lower branches of the chart, Cliff Richard was riding high with "Dreaming", backed with "Dynamite". Though identically-titled, the songs were otherwise completely unrelated.
