LA-born jazz/soul singer and pianist was a child prodigy and was giving recitals at the age of six. Her hit was number 23 in the USA and was sampled on two different UK number ones: Will Smith's "Men In Black" and George Michael's "Fastlove". Follow-up was "I Was Tired Of Being Alone".
