Biography
Max Splodge, Billy Greensleeves, Pat Thetic, Miles Flat and Wiffy Arsher were the names by which this cartoon punk group voluntarily called themselves. They had released a self-titled LP earlier in the year. Released on Deram with the catalogue number BUM 1, "Simon Templar" was a tribute to the novel/TV character The Saint, and the other side became a catchphrase during the long boring summer of 1980, and the title of a sitcom which didn't use this as its theme music. They followed it with a raucous version of "Two Little Boys".
