Biography

Evangelos Papathanassiou hails from Greece and had been in Formynx and then in Aphrodite's Child, a French-based Greek trio that also included Demis Roussos. He turned down the chance to be in Yes but later formed a successful partnership with their lead singer Jon Anderson. Chariots of Fire was a US no1, having taken a record 21 weeks to get there, and came from the film of the same name.
